That being said, the movie Dreaming Purple Neon is not without its merits. Anyone who would bash this sort of film shouldn't waste the time and energy watching it in the first place. I give it only 3 stars out of 5 because it's , at the end of the day, just another one of those "retrofitting" genre pictures. You know what I'm saying?
